Name: Greg Bagwell
Grade: II Dan
Years training: 9
How did you first become involved in TKD?:
A flier came through in my school's register advertising the new Taekwon-do school that was opening in the village that I lived in. Having always wanted to take up a Martial Art, I jumped at this opportunity and have loved it ever since.
Who was/is your instructor?:
Originally Mrs Sarah Taverner I Dan, but due to her pregnancy she had to stop teaching and Mr Philip Taverner V Dan, took over the school.
Who else has had a big impact on your (TKD) life?:
Obviously Mr Taverner and also Masters Miller and Whiteley as both love to push you both to and beyond your limits. And, of course, Grandmaster Rhee as he has set such a high standard to which, I am sure the vast majority of students hope to aspire to.
What do you enjoy most about TKD?:
I enjoy all aspects of Taekwon-do which obviously, is largely down to my Instructor and the way he teaches.
What is your best memory of TKD?:
Grading for my first Dan and being a member of the England National team winning Gold at the World Championships in Team Power Test!
What are your hobbies?:
As well as Taekwon-do?? I enjoy playing Basketball and watching Football, playing poker and watching films.
Sum up in 10 words what TKD means to you:
